MISSION

Research papers remain vital in communicating ideas and knowledge necessary in advancing the field of any type of science. However, papers can be complex, long, and can include jargon unfamiliar to many high school students. The purpose of the USC neuroscience journal club, is to break that unfamiliarity through explaining intricate neuroscience topics by breaking down dense research papers. Our bi-weekly meetings allow students to discuss neuroscience literature in a low pressure environment with expert USC neuroscientists and professors. We strive to empower students with the analytical skills and knowledge necessary to navigate and contribute to the field of neuroscience effectively.
